Our product development process makes us an efficient and well-organized system partner at every step of the way – from initial idea to finished design.

Our Research and Development teamwork in close consultation with our customers. Development often takes place within a common PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) solution and is carried out remotely or in-house, dependant on the customer needs. In the design process, quality assurance begins at an early stage with state-of-the-art CAD tools, in-house prototyping capabilities and internal validation. CAE simulations are continuously used in the development process to ensure the quality and strength requirements of the product.

Our CAE expertise is utilized in the following areas:

  • Strength calculations, static and dynamic load cases
  • Crash simulations validated by crash test track trials
  • Modal analyses
  • Shake and vibration analyses

Our extensive assembly workshop delivers prototypes during the development phase, starting with conceptual demonstrations through to pre-production. The prototype workshop can build any kind of vehicle interior. In addition, prototypes are manufactured with short lead times and to a high standard, combining a combination of metal processes, 3D additive manufacturing, textile and woodworking.

Our production and logistics engineers as well as our production staff are involved throughout hela the development process – this is how we ensure that the design can be efficiently put into production. The product is optimized to provide the best possible cost-efficiency, production quality and assembly time. Already at an early stage of the development process, we ensure consideration for occupational safety and efficient logistics. Tools used to prepare for an effective high production quality include Design for Assembly, Kanban flows, and Poka-Yoke solutions.

Even after production has started, the development work continues. The manufacturing process is continuously improved throughout the product's lifetime. The production process is refined, cost reductions implemented, and production time improvements are continuously worked on. Motivated and committed employees and subcontractors do this as part of their daily work.
